I've lost the names layer a couple of times too, unfortunately the only solution is to restart the client.

I've never seen the roads disappear, but I've lost the names layer a few times. The cause might be the same.

I am seeing this also. I'm on a Droid X running Waze 2.0.1.2. Switching to any app causes all roads to disappear. Zoom in and out work, but do not restore the roads. Navigation still works also - it will tell me to take the next turn at the appropriate time, but no road on the map. Only way to restore roads I've found is to exit Waze and restart it. I posted about this in the bugs section under General a couple of days ago.

Received an update to 2.0.1.4 over the weekend. Still lose the roads after a task switch, unfortunately.

Disappearing roads when switching apps

Postby Korun » Mon Oct 11, 2010 4:04 pm

Using a droid x and the latest version of the client, I'm finding that if I switch apps while using waze (take a phone call on bluetooth, check my twitter notifications at a red light), when I return to waze my map is now missing the roads. All my goodies show up, the water features and street names show up, and the map rotates as necessary, but the roads are now gone.

I can fix this by exiting and rebooting waze, but this becomes a hassle. Is anyone else having this issue? I'll try to take a screen shot later tonight when I have the time to figure it out.

Yes, it zooms in but the roads are still missing. and it will still give me local reports when I come to a complete stop

Samsung Fascinate, same issue, sometimes just messing with the zoom seems to make it come back, sometimes not.

Hi,

We're aware of the issue in some of the devices and are working on fixing it as soon as possible.
