Might be, my areas is spread out and not overlapping anyway. Can't remember if it worked when I just had one area tough...

After checking the Cartouche, it seems that everything is working fine.
could you please post a "permalink" to the area you're checking?
As for what you wrote - could it be that you're expecting something to pop?
If so - After clicking on an Update request in the cartouche - the edit panel changes and shows you the request at hand. (i've added a screenshot)
