I think they're only taking more testers except for WP8. The thread with the info is no longer available.

I don't have the actual numbers, but based on forum participation in the beta site, and previously when beta threads were posted here, I think a fairly small number of beta testers actually provide feedback. Most seem to just want to use the "latest and greatest version" for some other reason... bragging rights or something personally motivated. I don't know. Maybe more do actually participate and it's just not obvious. I'd be curious to see numbers from Perlin...

Alan, you are incredibly fast catching the issues/bugs. By the time I find something or notice, it's already been reported or mentioned. :)

Quite ture! Some testers can give feedback within few hours. I'm not a heavy driver and normally took me few days to test the features and functions.

I don't know. I posted this morning in the Beta forum asking why the iOS 3.7.1 hasn't been released yet. We had no test scenarios to work and the beta has been out for 2 weeks now. I have no idea what they are trying to fix.

iOS next version is supposed to be out in about a week. No details on what the delay is other than trying to get at the several odd bugs which don't affect everyone but which have been brought up in the feedback thread.

Keep in mind that Apple introduces its own delay in getting app updates published. It is unpredictable.
