Wiki Spammer!

Post by robc007
This user has created several advertisements in the wiki: http://www.waze.com/wiki/index.php?titl ... eil56drama

I suggest someone remove the wiki articles and the wiki account as soon as possible.

Yes anyone with a Waze account can edit the wiki - it's always been that way. There were a few tricks to logging in though (due to the way the wiki software handles usernames).

Keep posting the links in this thread if you find them & I've already sent a note to the Waze staff (I didn't use the emergency button as this can wait till after their weekend).

Can you post a link to which page says that?

We've installed a security patch which should solve this issue and prevent it from happening.

Thanks,

Robc007, thanks so much for locating all those spam entries and getting rid of them.

As for the data on the page you noted, the current guidelines are not absolute, but more recommendations. I am checking with the Waze team to better understand what security update they recently added and see it we can tie in additional security.
