small towns cluttering the Live Map

Post by
When there are more towns in an area and their names would overlap, some names get chosen (a bit randomly) and those show up on the Live map, which is a bit confusing.

The larger the footprint of a city, the higher should be the priority of showing it's name on the Live map.

Deleted roads don't disappear. New roads don't appear. And to make matters worse, they've decided it's a low-priority bug because it's only the display that isn't updating (rather than the data behind it). Ugh!
Funny. (Not). That sounds exactly like how the www Live Map works already. So, if they change it, I probably won't notice the difference. LOL. Not.

Any news on implementing the look of US Live Map on the World server? Names of small cities instead of big ones and gray colors make it look very depressing...

4\/3!!
Totally agree! Don't recall ever getting a reason for not implementing it on world server either! :(

To be very honest, I do not see a BIT of change in this field. Very frustrating again. And apart from that - how hard can it be? to make the persistence/fontsize of citynames depending on the number of roads using that name. Pooh, pooh.

Waze, get your act together.

Put up a bugtracking-system. The only activity we see from Waze-staff is the daily avalanche of tweets asking us to vote for Waze. If bugs as simple as this one were taken serious indeed, I would not even need such reminders - I would simply vote for it by myself.

Currently, I would vote Waze to get the Dilbert-Award for companies with the most demonstratable Dilbertian behavior.

Great! But when was soon?

No official reason, but there are problems with the new map on the www server (different zoomlevels have different sync time, some levels do not sync at all and show info from 6 months ago).
