Someone got to it before I could do a screenshot, but there was an auto-UR in the concrete canyons of Calgary's downtown this morning that wanted a new road created because the averaged GPS route was dramatically curved over top of several tall buildings instead of using the square grid street network. The average route looked like the path Batman or Spiderman might take, from rooftop to rooftop
I am reminded of the late great Douglas Adams. Perhaps the reporter was simply wearing too large a hat.elle-emme wrote:Um...General error (user reported)

sockslabs(3) OK, let's get that fixed! What was the exact address you entered?
I would have been tempted to respond with "I can't find 'It brought me to the wrong street. I call that an error ' as a valid address anywhere, in any map client."Reporter It brought me to the wrong street. I call that an error
That's probably related to this World Cup nonsense going on right now. The map has become littered with soccer/footballs, and for some reason the majority of them are being delivered to side streets rather than the route you're on. They appear to be floating in no-man's-land because side streets aren't drawn when you're moving at a good clip on your main route.bz2012 wrote:Ahhh... NOT a problem with the map, a problem with a map editor/reporter!Update Request (3608718): General error
