Hello,

I'd like to ask if there are any plans to make the app show railroad tracks as such. You know, those black-white checkered lines (at least in Germany that's what they look like). It would be a nice-to-have detail on the map, especially when navigating roads with lots of intersections.

Hello, the latest version of Waze says it supports JVC app radio. I upgraded the firmware for the radio (1.05) as the JVC website told me to (to support WAZE). However when I connect to my JVC KW-AV60BT it does nothing different than the previous version; it only displays the phone output only. I cannot manipulate WAZE at all directly from the JVC unit.

I found this youtube video: which shows me that I should have the capability of input from the JVC yet when I plug into mine, it is read only (depressing the JVC screen does absolutely nothing). It looks like from the video that Waze goes into some sort of output mode on the iphone. When I plug mine in it does nothing, it acts as though nothing was plugged in (I still have to manipulate from the iphone).

Any guesses what I am doing wrong?

Just a quick suggestion: why not make the menu window bigger in order to show the 3x3 icon grid entirely?
(It's even more strange considering the report window has the "right size" and shows a complete 3x3 grid and even slightly more).

I too have been frustrated and plagued by dark screens..some weird spot light on the dark screen and unmovable maps.

Quick question....if I delete the app from my iphone 5 and reinstall it..do I lose all my points and such. I just clicked on the app and it said, " Deleting WAZE will also delete all of it's data" :twisted: :twisted: :twisted:

I too am experiencing the shrouding of the map. The map is so dark, it's almost impossible to see now. Also lost the ability to touch the icons on the screen. Anyone find out a way to fix this issue? Hopefully a new update coming out soon? Thanks.

Got to :
Settings -> Social & Networks -> Pop-up Reports -> None

That will stop those pop-ups and stop it from getting darker. I have joined about 1/2 dozen groups since there are several in my area, as soon as I've turned this off, it seems to be fixed. BUT any other report from something else would still do the same, but much less frequently.

This explains why most people don't have a problem, most people don't use groups. Also explains testing. Giving the app to people to use and "test" is a VERY VERY poor test methodology, there needs to be a clear pattern of regression testing where every option is enabled / disabled and review tested. This is normal testing work methodology. One software firm I worked for (you would know them if I mentioned it) would have a test plan of 1 to 2 thousand pages. Without this type of methodology there is no way you'd find many bugs.
I'll give that a go. I'm only following two groups right now. Let's see if unfollowing will help. Thanks.

Okay, so unfollowing the groups had no effect whatsoever. The map is still dark and I still can't touch the screen. Only the two lower buttons. Lame. Waze better release a new update to fix this bullshit or else I'm leaving Waze altogether.
