Good news and bad news, so here goes:

Bad news:
There is NOTHING you can do about the "Hamlim" name.

Good news:
I will forward this on to the correct person who's been taking care of them for me.

Also, if the town name is "Hamlin", then you can enter them into the city part of the road segment. The Wiki says you need at least 20, but in my experience, it only takes about 5, and you'll start to see the name appear. If you're wondering about city layer, I know it grows over time as you name segments that belong to their respective city. I don't know of a way to shrink it, though, so if Lake, Pa is too far, I don't know if deleting the names on the segments that have "Lake" as the city name will shrink the city layer for it.

I appreciate the help. I have tried to rename a bunch of roads to the "Hamlin" name but it still keeps telling me that it is too far from the city it was added to. I have tried 5 at once, 10 at once, even 20 but still won't let me change the city names. Even the roads that have no current city name outside of "Hamlim" i cannot changed to "Hamlin".

CBENSON,

I talked to jondrush about this before. The way I take it in PA is we are confirming to the PennDOT map standard. With the townships, boroughs and cities.

I see he has been spelling out township. Also if the township exists somewhere else in the state, we are placing a comma after township, then the county. (Ex. Menallen Township, Fayette)

We didn't talk about the borough portion but I did not place Borough at the end unless there is a township or city with the same name.

In regards to CDPs as I have not been able to find EXACT boundaries of them, I just create a landmark with the CDP name and label it as "other" for now.

I am going back through now spelling out my townships and boroughs. Not fun.

Jondrush, feel free to correct me on any of the above if I am wrong.
