AFAIK, Northern Ireland have their equivalent NI-OS, but the data is not freely available. It's also not as complete as for GB.

I suspect it's a similar arrangement in Ireland, though it's only a guess.

Great job!

A quick reminder to editors: we still haven't agreed on this proposal, so please don't reclassify any roads just yet. Go read the other thread and add your opinion if you haven't already.

Twister - if you added your green PRN highlight as an OpenLayer, the it would pan with the rest of the map. See my Route Tester script for an example of how to do it. Look for references to WMERC_lineLayer_route...

I too have wrestled with z-indexing, and failed to get native layers to behave as I'd like.

Anyway, good job!

Do the data blocks get cached by the browser, so that they reload quickly when revisiting an area?

I did some testing, and answered my own question: Yes, the WMEOD data is loaded from cached :)

You can encourage the Browser to do this more by setting the Expires: header to 6 months after the modification date. For really advanced cache control, check for "If-Modified-Since" headers from the client... PM me for the gory details if you're interested.

Request: Can you add a marker and/or label on the map for the centre of the cities?
I think this would be helpful when determining if cities are in the correct location.

Ooooooo.... They look interesting. We could probably make use of all of them :)

I'm not sure it'll be necessary. Waze will know which county an new segment will be in. It's only near borders do you get more than one choice.

(See Counties thread for how to see the boundaries)
