How do I find my local area manager?

Post by chrissmith-uk
Hi guys - I was driving a route yesterday, and Waze recommended a very strange route, basically going straight ahead at a roundabout, then at the next roundabout coming all the way back to the first roundabout again.

I thought maybe there is a fault on the map, but when I looked, I could not see one.

Can I find a local area manager to me who could investigate this for me?

Thanks

Chris

I think that this is not map problem. It's a route problem, I can't say why it happened but sometimes the suggested route include turn off from the way until the close roundabout and then back in the same way the turn point.
We gave a few samples to the support at the israeli forum but they still can't find what causes this error

Ok Thanks.

The problem occurred as I driving on Brownhill Way, Southampton, approaching the roundabout above the M271. I wanted to turn right, to go North on the M271. However Waze directed me to go straight on, to a small roundabout about 300 yards ahead, then to leave that by the 5th exit, and come back to the roundabout above the M271, and then turn left to go North.

Woodvale is your AM.

Checking on the Live Map navigation script I can get it to do it too. :-(

The most likely offending segment was edited just prior to the last tiles update.

I'll check back after the next update.

Now that the live map has updated, test routing using the livemap navigation script uses the main roundabout properly. :-)

Try it in your car and report back but it should be working now.

I think you are talking about a different kind of error. This one clearly related to a segment error. We have other errors like the one you describe but this was not one of them.

You can enable the Area Manager layer in the editor. Alternatively, I'm sure one of us would be happy to look at it for you?
