Waze icons and sounds appear in unwanted places

Hi,

I've been running several versions of Waze for Android on my G1 since early Alpha. I'm not sure if this only happens to me but ever since installing Waze its icons appear in my pictures gallery and sounds appear in my Music Players. This got annoying to the point that I decided to uninstall Waze. Now, the icons and sounds are still there but I can't seems to find their location on the SD card or the device itself. I am using APPS2SD with ext3 partition. Is it possible that the files are hiding there? How do I get read of these files?

I actually found the problem. I backed up all app data and the sound and icons were kept at the backup folder. I deleted it and now all is good. Other than this issue I actually like Waze, so this will not repeat itself in the new version?

sorry to hear you're still having problems with this... the issue was fixed in ver 1.1.1 but perhaps the ROM you are running still reads these images as images? (I noticed something similar in ubuntu).
If you removed waze they pictures were removed as well. One thing I can think of is that you have some caching on your gallery viewer, caching the preview display of the images...?
What happens when you try to click on an image from the preview in the gallery?
