Google Chrome to start blocking local extensions.

Interesting. Anyhow I expect this is leading towards Google having more of a walled garden and eventually banning Ad Blocking extensions and loop-holes like Tamper Monkey.

Just means changing instructions.

1. install TamperMonkey from Chrome Web Store
2. add scripts from UserScripts.org into TamperMonkey
3. PROFIT!!!

Yeah, if you don't like TM. Honestly, I was resistant to this method, but since we had those headaches a few months back with directly installed .JS extensions, I installed TM. Quite frankly... it works better than the locally-installed .JS extensions ever did...

Well, yes, that would get me off of Chrome. But I would go kicking & screaming.

Do you see a button in the lower right of the map editor that looks like a couple chain links?

Developers just have to upload their extensions to the webstore. That's not very complicated... For example Toolbox is already on the webstore.
