Why do we still recommend to use this bootstrap code here on this wiki page then?

I really don't know about this part at all. I know that JNF uses a different method, not sure if by design or just something different.

I've not had any issues with it not working. Not using Tampermonkey. Just loading the 1.5.7.3 "version" I posted. It works with and without other extensions just fine for me.

My version of JAI works fine in beta, so conceivably this officially updated version would work fine too.

The non-Chrome store extensions should be loaded with Tampermonkey. It works superbly.

You should be able to figure that out using livemap. Yes, you have to wait for it to go live, but the turn-by-turn in livemap is accurate to what the app will do.

Could you add a separate colour for u-turn instructions, when the angle is 170-180 degr?
And perhaps a grey area at 165-169 or something?

Yes, with 2 segments connected at an angle of 170 degrees or over, you will get a uturn instruction. (With or without a third segment added)
