[COMPLETED] Whitchurch Bridge, Pangbourne

Post by ditchi56
Permalink: https://www.waze.com/editor/?zoom=6&lat ... 89&env=row

Description: Bridge is closed for demolition and reconstruction, originally scheduled to reopen April 2014, currently scheduled to reopen September 2014.

Links: http://www.whitchurchbridge.com

Editing Actions Taken: Time restrictions used to close the bridge until 14 April 2014.

How To Finish The Roadworks: The time restriction will expire automatically, but should be deleted for clarity.

Anything Else: I'm monitoring the bridge company's website (link above) for updates on progress.

Since tolls are only charged for this bridge during the day, I've also split it into two, so that Waze won't flag a toll overnight when it reopens. I've used the method that Iain House has pioneered for the London Congestion Charge Zone viewtopic.php?f=55&t=67951&start=50#p609648. Of course, this means that the closure restriction has to appear four times, 2 segments x 2 directions.

OK, please let me know if you turn up any problems. Doesn't matter for Whitchurch Bridge until April!

Whitchurch Bridge re-opening now deferred until September 2014 "at least". Original post edited.

However I haven't been within four miles of the bridge for a while, and can no longer edit the time restriction. Would someone else like to take over?

We have a reopening date - Friday 26 September. Still provisional, but at least they've felt confident enough to name a day. I now have edit rights again, so have updated the restrictions to terminate at midnight on 25 September.

Bridge is reopening at 5pm on Friday 19th September, and will then be toll-free until 24th September.

On Waze, there are two bridge segments. There's a toll segment which will, once the bridge reopens, have no time restrictions. And a toll-free segment which will be restricted to be open only when the bridge is toll-free.

I've set up the toll-free segment to be unrestricted from 5pm on the 19th September; sometime between 20th & 23rd September I'll come back and set up the on-going restrictions.

I haven't quite pioneered it yet! Still waiting for one more test (and, of course, there's a delay in updates for the INTL tiles). I do not want to mess up the London CCZ!

HI All,

I have cleared down all restriction and reset the closure date until September 2014.

Once the road re-opens I will put in place all the appropriate restrictions as detailed above.

In the meantime any q's please PM me.
