Creating a Waze account is much better experience overall, IMO. It looks like you got an account set up, so good for you! Once the facebook connect issues are resolved, you'll be able to link later.

Welcome to Waze! First things first, as Alan posted above, be sure to search the forums before posting.
AlanOfTheBerg wrote:BEFORE POSTING! Please search self-help information already available for WP8.
You should also follow the forum guidelines and search both the forum and wiki for answers already available for most questions.

Second to your issue, this is a common complaint not only for waze but for most GPS apps due to the constant GPS usage, screen time, and possibly having it plugged in. Having the phone mounted in the sun can exacerbate issues. One common suggestion is to "vent mount" your phone, having air blow across it will keep it cool.

Some more feedback now that I've had a chance to use it some.

1) the Audio is kinda quiet, even with volumes set to max
2) can you route the audio, and hopefully in the future, the mic through Bluetooth?
3) Gonna throw in speech recognition again, I really think some focus needs to go towards this.
4) phone gets really warm, uses Bart faster than my 3.1a charger can give, I've got a 4.2a charger in the mail now. But, if there's anything that can be done on this, it would be greatly appreciated, as right now, long road trips are out for waze.

other than that, great job guys!

Looked at the rev of the app that I just downloaded for my WP8 Nokia 1020 and it says ver 1.0.0.0 on the Store page. I went to delete a favorite that I stored and followed the directions on the wiki and the only option I get is to add it, no remove. So it looks like any favorites that I enter stay there.
I have been using Trapster religiously but am going to give this a try for South Central PA and see how it works.
Later,

Phone getting hot is OK... We are used to it by now... Playing any 'more serious' game gives the same effect.
For me the biggest flaw is that, while using Waze the battery drains more than it charges (L920 GDR2)...
today I started from 100% fresh off the charger - was driving and wazing (3g network) for about ~50mins, while constantly charging with Nokia cr-200 - at the end battery is drained down to 65%.... that means I couldn't even use it for 3 hours with this charger.

I am experiencing a 'bug' of sorts on the Nokia Lumia 1020. The screen goes to black after a timeout and I can't change/find this timeout in the settings. No issues otherwise with the Android or iOS version of the app....

Hi!
Thanks Waze for coming to WP!
I noticed that I can only view the map with the phone (nokia lumia 925) in portrait orientation, not in landscape.
cheers!

Having problems with Windows Waze on Nokia 928:
First, after Waze would not remember me when I would close and re-open the app, I uninstalled and reinstalled the app, then when this didn't fix the problem, I deleted my account and re-registered. That seemed to fix that problem.
The issue I'm currently having is that when I enter favorites, Waze doesn't remember them. It has my home and 3 favorites stored, but it seems when I select my favorites from my contact list, it doesn't remember them the next time I open the app. Also, when I select "info" to "show on map" to one of these contacts (before I close it), the app closes. If I add these favorites by searching for the address directly, I don't seem to have these issues.
