Waze on my Windows Phone just started to download voices again.
Only standard voices, not TTS.
Someone with the same 'problem' or is it just me :)

Possibly I may get it even for free from my friends who changing regularly their Samsungs and LGs, thus having some oldies in storage box. Requirements for such 2-3 years old device not high, because it shall run only WAZE and nothing else. And it will remain all the time in the car, just like people do with Tom-Tom or other navi devices. The only thing I'll need to buy extra SIM card for the data connection, but in fact I'm paying already for the traffic on my current SIM card. So it will not be a new expense.
Any ideas or other solutions?

I was just thinking about the same solution.
But you do not need an extra SIM. Just use your Windows Phone as a WiFi hotspot in your car.

Re: Help - Waze on Windows CE 6.0

It has USB port for WiFi, I just need to buy dongle for that, and I will buy.
The problem is how do I install the program using the SD card? I don't understand how to do that.

Not yet, i'm working on that.
Should I have Internet connection in the entire using or only in the setup?

Help - Waze on Windows CE 6.0

Postby bmatanb » Fri Jul 04, 2014 5:17 pm

Hello everyone!
I'm not sure this is the location for the topic. If it is not the place, please move the topic.

I have a new multimedia screen to in my car - RoadNav s100, OS: Windows CE 6.0.
How can I install Waze on that? I have an SD card port for that.

Thanks in advance.

Support Page wrote:Known issues and missing features - Windows Phone
  • Add a stop point

  • Updating gas prices
  • Social media (Facebook, Twitter,...)
  • Problems with bluetooth- can’t choose whether route sound to speaker or to bluetooth.
  • “Crash” when returning from background.
  • Restart is needed for changing unit
  • No sound - please restart waze

Please add the power consumption issue. If there is a charger that can keep up with Waze's power use please let us know what it is. My charger has a 3.1A output and doesn't come anywhere close to keeping up. After 30 minutes of use the battery on my Lumia 928 is drained at least 20-40%. At that rate I would get about an hour of use from the phone & Waze, even with the phone "charging". Thanks!

can't read email

Postby Blia101 » Wed Dec 14, 2016 10:30 am

So any messages I receive in my inbox gives me an error.. Every time..
Oops something went wrong.

I have never been able to read the messages.
Using Windows Phone 10.

Lots of problems. No street names... Map reporting issues.. Direction problems..
Try to report them and I cannot comment further because the email does not work.

Windows Phone users exist

Postby BillPStudios » Tue Jan 19, 2016 7:28 pm

I thought based on the help instructions voice wasn't supported yet for Windows Phone.
When
I searched before posting I saw that Windows Phone was not expected to supported or updated.

So let me go on record as requesting the addition of voice navigation for Windows Phone.
You've done all the hard work already. If you don't have enough time I'd be happy to help.
You have a game changer app and as more folks use Windows 10 on their desk or laptop,
they will appreciate a phone that is an extension of their PC.
