Trying to get a route from Antwerp (Belgium) to Les Menuires (France) does not find a route. From Les Menuires to Antwerp Waze does find a route?

Where on the map does it go wrong?

It's not the map, it's the routing.
From north to south it's not possible to have very long routes.

Had routing timeouts Monday morning and this morning. Tried multiple times. The form mentioned at the start of this post is no longer accepting responses.

I have never had this happen before - if I can't rely on Waze for routing, I'll need to find another app...

:x Twice in the past two weeks I can not connect to server. It times out and I can's get directions. This didn't ever happen prior to Waze being purchased by Google. I am glad I have more than one navigation app. This one has become undependable.

Routing still not working. Have been trying for past hour.
Says calculating for a while and then says routing server not available.
This is happening all the time now.

Is this what happens when Google buys them.
Spending time trying to calculate what ad to display rather than trying to figure out the route?

I'm in the US. New York area - currently trying to map a trip to New Hampshire.
Google maps, Garmin and yes even apple maps seems to have no issue.

Waze use to work fine - never had issues, now it isn't working at all.

I had a timeout yesterday morning. Had to try about 5 times before the app was able to give me a route and time.

Dec 27 drive from Connecticut to NJ to Allentown PA, no routing for the last 3 hours. All requests for routing eventually timeout (some immediately did) reporting it cannot reach routing server.

All other App functions and connectivity-based features are working (alerts, maps, gas prices, hazards, etc)

iOS7 / iPhone 4S

The usual Calculating spinner gives up and error box says:
"Uh-oh:Failed to communicate with routing server"

Strange: it was able to route "back to where I came from" (Massachusetts) but not to points in Virginia or Pennsylvania

Sunday Dec 29th 2013 all day long I-90 all the way across new york state and along I-79 from Pittsburgh to Erie PA was unable to connect to the routing server. I would try every 15-20 minutes. Today (Jan 2nd 2014) was the first time I tried Waze again, my daily commute to work, I-95 around Boston area was unable to connect to the routing server with several attempts on the way in, 8-9 AM EST. I'm able to connect now, while in the office at at work. In both cases I was able to use internet on the phone and download maps while traveling, notifications were working, but routing was not working at all.

Too much traffic? High load times? (routing traffic, not car traffic!!!) I would have expected Sunday the 29th to not be a high load situation. Perhaps AT&T Wireless is blocking the routing server?

I was also unable to connect to the routing server between 8-9 AM EST today (Jan 2), in the Washington, DC, area, and I also saw a UR on the map from another user complaining about the same problem.
