It's almost 2 days that, when I set a destination, Waze goes timeout. Is there any issue?

Yesterday I was traveling from East Los Angeles, Norwalk. I chose home as destination. Home was about 350 miles north and about 6 hours. Got the ready GO and then another calculating route and it stayed there for at least five minutes. Same issue again and again. Resetting the app. iOS 6.1.4. Finally it broke the trip down into two parts. The first took me over the Grapevine and once I passed the Route 99 and I 5 exchange it finish the calculation for the last part of the trip??

Been having problems since yesterday specially trying long routes 300+ miles.

Using iOS 6.1, and latest version of waze.

Have no problems getting short routes, but long ones give me a routing server timeout. 3G full bars, but also tried tethering to a 4g MiFi.

If you are trying to make a route of 900km, then you may actually be getting a timeout. My experience (in the US) is that Waze is terrible at generating routes that long, and you are far better off using something else to get a route when you have to travel that far.

You are also likely to go through areas with poor or no cell coverage, and Waze will have no speed information for roads in those areas, and may not even have accurate map information because no-one can report a problem in app in those areas, and only area managers and above can edit them.

Yesterday Jan 2 at around 8am PDT I had trouble getting routing in Southern California. I timed out 3 times, then got a route on the 4th attempt.

Like the last 2 posters this has been my go to app. Use it every morning to determine route to work and in the evening to determine route home. Over the past 3 weeks it has become pretty much unusable due to timeouts. Other times it does not recognize the route I'm on and tells me continually to proceed to the highlighted route, which I'm already on, and then proceeds to give improper directions. I've already deleted and reinstalled. I am on an iphone 5 and have not updated to the new IOS. Frustrated.

It does seem like it's an issue during commuting peak that it tried to get a good rote to avoid taffy or too many people in the area? For me yesterday it was no routing for the whole trip, I can report traffic, hazards etc. I ended up using Google nav when I was getting close to final destination.

Notice this usually during afternoon commute in NJ

In both cases I was able to use internet on the phone and download maps while traveling, notifications were working, but routing was not working at all.

I was also unable to connect to the routing server between 8-9 AM EST today (Jan 2), in the Washington, DC, area, and I also saw a UR on the map from another user complaining about the same problem.

How would they not be at this point?
