Feature Request: Ability to create/store UR responses

Post by MGODLEW
I would like to request the ability to create & store responses to UR's. They can either be predetermined by Waze so we establish uniformity or allow each editor to create their own. Then once you have your responses saved, you can select them from a drop down box, which will then insert the text of the saved UR response in the comment field, the editor can then add more comments if need be and then send it off to the reporter. I have a bunch of pre-typed responses in MS Word and its a big pain going back and forth to copy and paste them with each different UR. If Waze is going to control these instead of allowing each editor to create their own then 2 MUST haves are for missing info & how to correct "What do I do when Waze has my destination or address at the wrong location?"

The missing info template should be something like this:
"We are unable to determine a problem with your routing. Please provide additional details about the problem you experienced and your approximate destination so we can resolve your issue. If no response is received, this report will be closed after 7 days. "

Also, it would be nice to have a saved response about URs for non-map problems such as NO GPS, Unable to connect to routing server errors, &/or No Network Coverage.. I get a lot of UR's with complaints for these which I often reply with possible causes/solutions.

I like the idea of some canned responses. It could help improve communication in instances of editors who are less customer oriented (professional sounding) in their requests for additional info. I think they should be standardized across the board.

This is outside the scope of this thread, but I have "canned" responses that I am willing to contribute.

I have discussed this with our States regional coordinator a few days ago. We are compiling a list of well phrased responses to URs and plan to stickie them in each States forum. If you can share the thread for yours so we can reference it that would be great!

Can you post them in the thread for the Pennsylvania forums?

I also got tired of writing the same exact thing over and over again. I found this Chrome add-on that works well to save and then copy/paste any text easily:
https://chrome.google.com/webstore/deta ... oaapakeomf

And as for standard reply I think it would be good as well because some editors really don't make any efforts.. Around where I am a guy constantly just writes "Can you give more info plz."
I prefer to start with Hi or Hello, explain that the person reported an error and that is why I am contacting him/her, request for more information, etc....

However setting a standard for how we reply to URs should just be something you talk about with your local community of editors and agree on. In my case I opened a forum thread and invited the editors I knew in the area by sending them a private message to read and participate. Now we all handle URs the same way and we work better as a team.
