2 close speed cameras; 2nd one barely appears on Waze

Post by smiles496
I was driving along the A505 (UK) towards Baldock from Cambridge, and there are two speed cameras in quick succession. After I had passed the first, a notice about the second one appeared on screen for about 100 metres, and then the message a fair distance (300m?) before I had actually reached it. This has happened repeatedly.

I am using Release 3.7.7.0 of the Waze app.

Is Waze just not able to warn of two cameras that close together (about 600M), perhaps Waze attempts to warn about the second one while the message for the first is on screen? so closes it when the first one should have closed rather than the second.

Okay, that sentence doesn't really make that much sense:
Is Waze doing the following:
1) Approaching the first camera, displays warning up to the camera.
2) Once past the first rather than continuing to show the first camera message for a while after now switches to the second camera warning.
3) At the point where the first message would disappear (a little after the first camera) it actually kills the message for the second camera?

I shall be driving to Baldock at the weekend so I will divert from my usual route at give it a go.

(OP here! ;) ) What I appear to be getting is 1), then
2') Once past the first, show the first camera message for a short while, then switch to the second camera warning (presumably once in range).
3) I guess this is what's happening: it's killing all camera messages at this point.

I drive along a section of the A20 with 2 close cameras every day. There is a speed camera then, a few hundred meters on there is a red light camera.

Waze will announce the speed camera as soon as I am close enough. Then, after 100 meters or so, Waze will announce the red light camera - and that pop up will replace the speed camera pop up on the screen.

So it seems that, as soon as you are "in range" of a second camera, the one currently showing will be forgotten about.
