- no highlighting for 'Might be incorrect city name' check due to false positives, but you can still use this check by scanning a map area
- fixed new segment roundabout error
- a bit adjusted twinkling/opacity, but major update for highlighting is coming in one of the upcoming releases

Sorry, I haven't noticed the feature is in WME beta until it was released here yesterday. Have not much time for reading other topics recently :(

12.01.2014 v0.4.6:
- updated "Unneeded node A/B" checks
Now it checks if the total length of the adjacent segments is less than 1km

Probably the limit should be adjusted, any suggestions?

There is a minor technical issue with long segments: if a node is out of the screen, WME does not load it. So Validator does not even trigger the group of checks which analyze both end nodes (for instance, "No inward connectivity" and 'Same endpoints')

If no complains on that - I'll increase the length limit.
sketch wrote:To that end: the two-way drawing preference should be disabled by default.
Sure, you're right.

Ok, I'll try.

Thanks!

You have two identical city names in that area:
38045: "Greater Manlius Area"
48105: "Greater Manlius Area"

So some of the segments are linked to city ID 38045, and some to 48105.

In that area you also have:
14696: "Syracuse"
53882: "Syracuse"
37530: "De Witt"
56539: "De Witt"
56562: "Dewitt" <- not reported, just noticed it

I can adjust the check so instead of "[correct letter case]" it will report "[identical names ID/ID]". Or shall we just ignore those duplicate city names?

Reminder: due to the false positives Validator does not highlight "Might be incorrect city names" anymore, so you have to scan an area to check city names.

Let me know if I shall implement such a check for the US.

We already have the opposite checks implemented, for instance: "City name on Freeway" for AU, FR, GF, NC, PL, RE and "No city name on Freeway" for BN, MY, SG

So no need to argue. Just let me know and any check will be enabled/disabled/tailored for your country ;)
