Hi

A suggestion for a new function:

When you make a new side road, and in the rush, don't see or remember the spelling of the main road, you have to select the main road again. And then select the newly created road to name it.

Could it be possible to have a popup with the name of the road you "hover" the mouse pointer over?
Or even have it set as default in the new name, you just have to confirm?

/Dan

And, how about a 'terminal "."' remover function for those street names that have been flagged as ending in a '.'?
:)

Wouldn't that be more of a WME Validator function?

May I report that WME Toolbox [loader] freezes my Firefox. The other scripts I have installed are WME Validator, WME JNF, WME Color Highlights and WME Aerial Shifter. They all work without problems on Google Chrome.

Edit: problem solved after uninstalling malfunctioning Flash

Validator DETECTS the problem.
I would expect the act of FIXING the problem to be more of a 'toolbox' type of feature, but I am not fussy, just as long as it is easy to fix the Dr., Rd., Ln. etc. stuff. :)

convert geometry point to junction

Postby dbraughlr » Sun Mar 02, 2014 10:09 pm

I would like a one-letter command (e.g., j) to turn a geometry point into a junction. It should operate on the geometry point of the selected segment over which the mouse hovers, one junction per keypress (non-repeating).

I assume by your description this results in a two segment junction.
I think this is a great idea. I am constantly having to use "i" to build a road just to bifurcate a segment, then delete the newly added road. This would be so much easier.

Maybe we could get Waze to eventually add it to WME "soon".

This would make it way too easy to create two-segment-junctions. These should be exceptions!

I don't think it is good to 'make things deliberately difficult'. If a feature should only be available to upper level editors, that is the way it should be done.

But that's not possible.

I would love to have champs-only features in the editor, but it doesn't seem we are going to get that ever.
