That's an unfortunate side-effect of using the display filter options, and it isn't limited to place updates. Approving a camera? Better make sure all the camera filter options are turned off so you're not approving one that's already marked... Responding to a UR? Turn off all those UR filter options so you can see if there are any others nearby that may be relevant...

Treat the filters as a way to cut through the clutter and highlight what you think you need to see, but always remember to turn them off every now and again so you're given the complete picture.

When filtering place updates that I cannot edit, the places themselves are hidden. This has the potential for me to approve a duplicate because I don't realize that there's already an original there locked at level 5 with a pending update. =P

Possibility that they are from different people is 1%...

If they are all from the same reporter (same time, comment, identical GPS traces) that seems fine. However if they happen to be stacked, but from different reporters, it seems unfair to the reporters who sent a legitimate report to have it coded with no comment, and follow up or closure.

There is WME UR-MP tracking script, it shows all URs in list and has distances. I think it might be possible to detect that URs are all in like 1m radius, and should be closed or hidden...

It's something I keep in mind to look at when I've got nothing else on the list, as whilst it'd be quite useful (especially since there seems to be a growing number of stacked URs - wondering if something has changed in the UR submission process to make it more likely they'll be generated at the same or as near as damnit same coords???) it also feels like something that could easily end up being a lot harder to implement than it seems like it ought to be...

Currently, you can hide the top Ur "for this session" to see the next one under it.

With it selected do a permalink and see if the code in the URL changes, if it does, it's a different UR.

The UR ID is also shown in the popup ;)

 Not just two, but at least three URs all piled on top of each other.

Thanks Twister for the tip!! :D
