Issue at I-20 & State Hwy 19 in Canton, TX
I have seen a rash of UR at this intersection https://www.waze.com/editor/?lon=-95.85 ... 57&env=usa going on two months now and routinely, folks are stating that Waze is providing the following directions to drivers:
When heading southbound on Hwy 19, north of I-20, users are given directions to turn eastbound on I-20 to then go down to FM 17 and turn around and then head westbound on I-20, which was the original, intended direction of travel.
There should be no reason that I can find for these directions. I can see in 'Live Map' that it offers this route between 430pm-5pm roughly but this is a low traffic area and all that is needed is one right turn at the light at I-20 & Hwy 19 to proceed to the on-ramp to WB I-20. I can't possibly imagine that heading east for several miles and then making a u-turn over FM 17 and back westbound is quicker/faster.
