Did you try entering "prevent lock" into the "Ask a Question" box on the support page (per the OP link above)

Point taken. I just copied the release notes verbatim. I didn't feel it appropriate for me to edit except for grammar.

I could add a footnote...

Get Waze on the Windows Store

Avoid the fake $4 version of waze by "Windows Phone Platinium"
- Looks like Windows has taken down this faker.
Edited to clean up, & update faker info.

Waze no longer offers me alternate routes or times of arrival, reporting "Uh-oh! Failed to communicate with routing server". I think this started following a WP10 update last week and I know many WP10 users have had various broken app problems since the update. So is this just me or are others affected?

I also still use the old Version and on my Lumia Smartphone and think W10 mobile should not be written off as a Platform. I'd even invest some bucks because Waze is the best Combination of Navigation and Warnings in one App I've encontered yet.

I too wish they would update waze for windows phone os. Unfortunately at this point it may need a complete rewrite to be a universal app. This raises the effort needed and lowers the chances of them doing anything. The new wave of lte enabled windows devices may be an attractive target but may still be not enough to make the effort worthwhile for them.
