Did you try entering "prevent lock" into the "Ask a Question" box on the support page (per the OP link above)

Hi all. Finally Waze to Windows Phone!

I'd like to avoid screen lock when running Waze. Is that possible?

Get Waze on the Windows Store

Avoid the fake $4 version of waze by "Windows Phone Platinium"
- Looks like Windows has taken down this faker.
Edited to clean up, & update faker info.

It definitely works better than the Android version, also faster, and a better UI.

It's missing features, but I wouldn't say it sucks. Traffic, incidents, map updating, and routing are all real time, which is what is vital to navigation. It would be nice if the missing features were there, but as is, it is still the best app to get you where you're going.

Currently waze sucks on windows mobile. It works but it still has a lot of missing features compared to android version
