Sorry to dig up an old thread but it seems relevant. I've a case where a post code is giving an incorrect location, it's out by about 2 miles. Is there any way to correct this or do we need to wait for an update from the royal mail PAF to somehow propagate through to Waze?

Search PH2 9FF and you'll end up on the B935 half way between the villages of Bridge of Earn and Forgandenny. The actual location of this new postal code is the small street I created to the south of Bridge of Earn named 'Clachan View, Perth and Kinross' https://www.waze.com/livemap?lon=-3.415 ... 53&zoom=16

Choose "Drive to" and in the "Search address or Place" box enter

ukpostcode:tr13lh

or whatever postcode you are looking for. Don't put any spaces in the postcode

It is now. :-) But I'll just say "It's my own invention." Don't like unsolved problems.

But did it work for you, because...

And yet it works for me using Waze 2.0 on iPhone, and I'm not in the UK.
Possibilities: 1. It doesn't work for all postcodes - can you give us one that doesn't work hodgetts?
2. There's no Waze map near the Postcode @hodgetts used
3. @hodgetts can't type or follow instructions
4. Something I haven't thought about

So I am very wrong. A systematic error in my tests. So it will only work in some cases. Back to the drawing board. Sorry @hodgetts

So google local search gives the right answer but random letters and numbers give too many hits on the waze map. A client app change is probably needed.

I thought maybe I could fool it by adding some extra words to force a google local search. So b775pz sex works. But it depends on a sex related business being nearby the postcode. So probably a solution for the Uk at least :geek:

Hi

While having the postcode layer will be great, how regularly will it be updated. There's about 2000 changes a year.

As well I wonder if you would consider changing the client app to also give the result. Especiially if that will happen quicker and be maintained bso google local search already returns a location result for postcodes.

But the client app won't show matches if it gets a good enough result from the street index search. And the random hodge lodge of letters and numbers that is a Uk postcode always matches enough streets. It may be enough so the client app always shows the first google local search result regardless of the waze street index results.

Or so it seems to mr vtespectfilly submitted for your consideration.
