How to become an area manager

Post by
Is it possible for me to become an area manager for my town? If so how would I go about doing this?

What are the todo's for an area manager. I'm thinking about it because I find the idea of an application like waze really great and what to support it.

I'd like to become the area manager of a part of Austria/Europe.

Regards,
Thomas

I am thinking about the same thing. Is there a way to know if there is an area manager in my area? (I am sure that there is not as just recently have I found that there have been additional wazers in my city, but I think that I am the only one editing the map.

I may send an email in.

The only way to know if there is an area manager, is to turn on the area manger layer in cartouche. Each area manager if there is one(s) for that area have a different color, and the area they can edit is highlighted by that color.

In the early days I remember seeing other area managers names, but for some reason this hasn't happened for a while.

At this point, you can take on as much or as little as you want.

The hopes is, that you will take the extra abilities of being able to delete roads, and edit outside your driven paths to help other waze users do updates.

But it's not like there is a report card, or reports you have to file.

There can be multiples. At last count there was 4 for my area. Each one gets a different color in the area manager layer.

An area manager's responsibility is essentially to respond to user update requests. For this reason, he is given edit privileges within a certain area, even if he hasn't driven there with Waze running. Also, the area manager is the only user that can delete roads; all others may submit potential deletions for area manager approval.

Optimally, an area manager shows elevated interest in the app and the maps, and he should perform numerous edits in his area to make sure the maps are working and working properly. Since you are in the forum, you're off to a good start! :D

If you find it to much stress/work is it any problem to quit straight away?
