Mi aerotabla está lleno de anguilas.
Why would you let eels go anywhere near your hoverboard, that's just crazy!

Hi all,

One of the streets that I turn on is pronounced "Monroe Ter" instead of the full pronunciation of "Monroe Terrace". I checked the wazeopedia and "Ter" is the correct abbreviation and additionally, listening to the street name on the Waze Map Editor pronounces it correctly.

Here's the segment: https://www.waze.com/editor/?env=usa&lo ... s=78536599

I am not able to get Jane to reproduce. Can you tell us more specifically where it says it and how you are set up? Is it turning left/right from Monroe or one of the side streets? Does it occur only from phone audio or from bluetooth?

xanderb
It occurs on when heading northbound on S. Monroe St and then making a left onto "Monroe Ter". It occurs over bluetooth. Tomorrow, I'll try just phone audio.

Speaking of problems with letter abbreviations - this UR in Michigan for West "AB" Ave (W AB Ave in the editor) reports that it's pronounced as West Alberta Avenue.

Mispronunciation of "Chelmsford" (town in MA)

Using Jane / US English

Says: "Kelms-ford" (hard K)

Should be: "Chelms-ford" (soft ch)

Example segment: https://www.waze.com/editor/?env=usa&lo ... s=57609617 (there are many, but many of the ramps at this junction of a US highway, state highway, and Interstate have this town name in them, where it is most noticeable)

Thanks,
-Mike

Mispronunciation of "Groton" (town in MA)

Using Jane / US English

Says: "Grow-ton" (long o)

Should be: "Graat-n" (like potatoes au gratin; example:

Example segment: https://www.waze.com/en-US/editor?env=u ... s=66203498 (it is a town name, and also a street name in many communities. I believe the town in Connecticut is also pronounced the same way.)

Thanks,
-Mike

United States, New Jersey, Mercer County, Hamilton Township

"Gropp Ave" is read as "Grant Ave". Gropp rhymes with crop.
