Hi everyone,

I tried searching this thread before posting but it's so huge I couldn't find my answer.

I am seeing two differences between the old Samantha abbreviations page and the newer Jane abbreviations page:

Circle: Cir (Samantha) -omitted- (Jane)
Crossing: Xing (Samantha) X-ing (Jane)

So my questions are, should I remove "Cir" as an abbreviation and replace with Circle? And should I change Xing to X-ing?

Thanks!

Tom

Mispronunciation of the town name "Framingham" (MA).

Noted on this segment: https://www.waze.com/editor/?env=usa&lo ... s=22556252
Road Name: "Exit 20B: SR-9 W / Framingham / Worcester"

Framingham should be pronounced "FRAY-ming-ham"; Jane is saying "FRY-ming-ham"

"Alt" (as in "SR-15 Alt") is correctly said as "Alternate" (though pronounced as "alterneight")

"Conn" ("connector") and "Sp" ("spur") are also used in Georgia so it'd be nice if those were added to the list :)

UR reporting mispronunciation, WME and App confirm:
https://www.waze.com/editor/?env=usa&lo ... lter=false

W Parkway Blvd is being pronounced as "parkwell". However, when the Blvd is removed, "parkway" is clearly heard.

If "Exit 70A-B" is what the sign says, as a driver my personal preference would be to have Waze say the same thing, as opposed to leaving the ramp unnamed. That is, first I get told to keep right for 70A-B, then left for 70A to Minnewaska.

... and the "v" is for Volvo.

I live in South Africa and find WAZE a brilliant application.
Problem is that TTS is wrongly describing our HighWays.

All South Africa's National Highways and Roads are "Prefixed" with an "N"
The "N" stands for "NATIONAL"

In Johannesburg the major highways are:
N3
N1

TTS translates this to "North 3"
It should remain as "N3" because the N SHOULD NOT translate to "North" and no one refers to them
as "National 3" so that wouldnt make sense either.

TTS should remain as "N3"

How can this be achieved?

Moses Lake, WA
Road name: D.5 Rd NE

Expected pronunciation: Dee zero point five
Actual pronunciation: Dee point five
PL

All the roads in Adams & Douglas county, WA that have letter point number names are incorrectly pronounced in TTS.

Is the format always a single letter followed by a period and a single number without spaces?

Yes it is. I've tried to work around it with other combinations and still work pronounce right.

I was told this is the right place to post ... if not, let me know and I'll move it.

Encountered a strange mispronunciation with Jane.
https://www.waze.com/editor/?env=usa&lo ... st=7298685

Road is Cookstown (Cook's Town) but was pronounced cukes town (like short for 'cucumber').

Thanks!
