Does this mean all edits have been lost, or will they roll them forward again? I'd done a lot of editing to the Blackwall Tunnel thanks to a kindly L5 downlocking the segments for me, to get the TTS working properly!

That's the client tiles, not the editor edits.

It won't even let me log back in at the moment, just sits there for a while waiting for one of the etiles servers to respond, then gives up and says Login Failed.

Similar scenario here, and the edits aren't showing up in WME this morning either. They *are*, however, showing up in my dashboard totals, so I wonder if this means they will eventually make their way into WME...

More WME shenanigans this morning, bah. Why is it that, whenever I don't really have time to edit much, WME absolutely flies along accepting edits without a murmur, serving up layers in the blink of an eye, and generally behaving like the impeccable piece of software we know damn well it isn't, yet whenever I do genuinely have a spare hour or so to dedicate to editing, WME turns into a sulky teenage brat and refuses to do anything you ask it to do?

...and the answer to that is, yes they will. Not having these sync issues in the first place would be the ideal scenario, but if we're going to have them then at least it's somewhat reassuring to know they don't always mean a loss of data.

Yuck, WME's been behaving itself just fine all morning, then when I come to do one last editing session it's sync errors galore :x

*note to self - check Mollison Avenue in Ponders End once WME starts behaving itself again*

Not just me then, though I reckon it's been like this for at least 24 hours so far. Hope it gets sorted out soon, got the week off work and an editing itch that needs a damn good scratch...

I think so, yes - most of the time when I look at areas I've recently edited, they're back in the state they were previously. However, every now and again WME seems to load just enough data to be able to show what should be the current state, then I'll drag the map slightly to check the next block of streets and everything reverts to pre-edit state again.

I think in situations like this, where WME is clearly fubar'ed and not worth using, Waze should simply turn off all access to it until the fault is resolved, rather than allowing us to continue logging-in, occasionally being given false hope that we'll be able to start editing again, and generally giving us all heart attacks when we see our recent edits apparently (I hope it is just apparently, and not actually...) wiped out. Might even make it easier for them to fix the problem, if the database isn't being continually hammered by editors reloading and reloading in ultimately futile attempts to get the maps loaded OK.

Would also be useful if the now more or less useless status page could return to something approaching its previous glory and receive more frequent updates regarding the current system status, as opposed to now being used more or less just as a place to stick announcements about future events.

That's the problem, at the moment all the data seems to be in a state of bemuddlement.

I second Dave's suggestion that we simply avoid editing anything until things settle down, because it's a) a waste of time spending maybe 5 minutes reloading WME just to be able to perform a handful of edits that'd normally take a few seconds, and b) can we be REALLY certain that the backend servers are able to handle fresh data being submitted when they're clearly incapable of serving up the existing data that we know ought to be present.

With all the WME issues in the past day and a bit, today was the first time in a loooong time I've been out on a drive and not had any, not even a single one, editing bonus candies to collect. Meh :(
