That is exactly what the form is intended to assist with. Here's the brief forum post about it, in the US Unlock Forum:

I understood that this form is for US only and the corrections are made by pjlasl(US Champ) + team.

Am i correct or google gets involved at some point?

How about the google map maker link so that we can fix issues on there map like we do. This was helping them out a lot for fixes to the map and a lot of us have worked hard to correct some of there issues and add to there map. Will this come back.

Is there a way that some of these links be allowed based on editor level? I believe that most of us that are rank 3+, having put in hundreds of volunteer hours, understand how to get legitimate data and would not compromise the Waze map by using copyrighted data. (Or whatever rank is deemed appropriate.)

You don't get to L4 without knowing that you shouldn't copy information from other maps. As a secondary option, maybe toolbox could have a permalink style button that spits out the GPS coordinates of your locations, so that you can paste it in whatever search box you like.

Couldn't we at least have the link to Livemap back since it is part of Waze? That was the button I used the most anyway. That and Google Map Editor since I was constantly having to fix things that were broken in Google so that Waze routing worked.

I agree, i can't even start to describe how bad is the experience to edit on Google Map Maker, now that there is no easy link to go there, i will not bother.
I agree that my experience with Google Map Maker is pretty awful. The problem with not at least trying to make changes in Google is that many Waze users blame Waze for the really bad routing they sometime get because Google has a pin somewhere strange. When I tell them I have tried to move the pin in Google, they appreciate the effort and probably are happier with Waze.

Guys... seriously.

Does the armchair courtroom antics even matter?

Waze requested of Oyyo to remove that functionality, for what they described as copyright concerns.

Copyright concerns, that, I might point out, have been well-articulated in the wiki for quite some time.

Oyyo obliged.

End of story.

Yes, it's a pain to not have that direct link to GMM. And yes, it's unfortunate to not have that link to Livemap or the Beta editor. And perhaps Oyyo can re-implement those, unless Waze had requested they be excluded as well.

Be thankful Waze didn't just break the thing hopelessly... that would just as easily have been in their power.

They don't treat us respectfully for what we do for them, we don't have to know much. Do your job and shut up. At least this is how I feel.
As far as the Livemap link, I don't know. There's no reason for that to have been removed.
Oyyo has actually clarified this -- removing the whole "other maps" section of code was the most expedient way to do this, and he didn't have time to cut out just the non-Waze services features.

Caddy-321 wrote:What has this to to with Copyright? It opens another Browser-Window with GoogleMaps or something else. The same as i open the window manually. I think i de-install the toolbox. Or better - quit the editing of waze-maps completely.
This has been hashed over pretty thoroughly here.

If you are depending on third-party maps (e.g. Google, Bing, OSM) to do your editing, please quit. By using these sources, you are threatening the entire Waze map with deletion (ref: http://blog.waze.com/2010/08/thanks-and ... gy-to.html ).

Furthermore, you're in violation of the Editing practices (ref: https://wiki.waze.com/wiki/Using_external_sources )

If you have any other questions, please talk to your RC (in the US) or a Champ.
