Open Waze and navigate to [cc@tts], type it in as if its an address you want to navigate to, without the square brackets. This should erase all previously downloaded language strings.

You might want to try a complete uninstall, removing all the data files from your SD card or internal memory in the Waze folder. And a fresh reinstall. The volume buttons work fine on my galaxy s4.randomsauce wrote:Cannot control Waze's volume using the physical volume buttons on Samsung Galaxy S4 (SGH-I337M, Android 4.4.2).
I'm pretty sure this used to work a few versions ago (maybe 3 months ago). This is extremely frustrating and dangerous: When I start driving, I'm not going that fast, so the road noise is low - I set Waze to a low volume. But when I go on the highway, road noise increases and I can't hear Waze. So instead of easily and safely pressing the physical volume buttons to increase Waze's volume, I have to become an irresponsible driver and take my attention away from the road to navigate through FOUR on-screen actions to adjust the volume. BAD IDEA!!! Make the roads safer by letting us control the volume with the physical volume buttons!
(But I don't have the M version)

This option, along with many others are available in the settings. To turn off the icons of other Wazers (user icons), Tap the Waze icon (bottom left) > settings (gear/cog) > Display Settings > Show on Map > unchecked whatever you do t want to see (Wazers are top on the list).JLOWPhoenix wrote:I would really like the ability to hide user icons from the map. Especially when navigating; or at least user icons on the highlighted route.
I've been using the app just over a month now, and love it for my daily commute. My commute route has other participants, but not tons. Last week I traveled to Orlando Florida for work (my first trip since I started using Waze). I found the app nearly unusable for navigating an area I am unfamiliar with that as has tons of other participants.
The massive amount of user icons overlaid on the map made it very difficult to see the highlighted route while navigating, and nearly impossible to see street and freeway names and numbers. It also seemed to make the interface refresh and respond slowly, especially to reroute/recalculate after missing a turn. Even when I knew where I was going, and just trying to use the app while driving, the overwhelm of user icons made the map feel unusable.

Your posting in an outdated thread. v3.8.1.0 has already been published and has its own thread. Also this may better in the app feature request thread.DrMacinyasha wrote:Hi Wazers! Just a quick request regarding the Android app:
Instead of using /sdcard/waze to store Waze's various data, would it be possible to have Waze follow the [url=https://developer.android.com/guide/top ... orage.html]Android API Guides[url] and store the data in /sdcard/Android/data/com.waze instead?
As an added benefit, when the app is uninstalled or its data is cleared, the folder is purged as well.
Thanks!

You are right, I read that wrong, this is the 3.8.1.0 thread. It may still help to also post it, or at least post a link to this post in the client feature request thread.DrMacinyasha wrote:Is this not the v3.8.1.0 thread? And I would post in the feature request sub-forum, but based on looking around at other threads in there, and the Wiki, it seems more dedicated for site or all-client issues, whereas this is an improvement/bug with the Android client, specifically.PesachZ wrote:Your posting in an outdated thread. v3.8.1.0 has already been published and has its own thread. Recently several times over the past week, some pop-ups (for cameras, police, etc.) Don't disappear after their timer expired, or after taking the "x", "Not There", or "thumbs up" button. The only way to dismiss the pop-up seems to be to restart the app which is not good while driving.

No ASR Menu German or English language while in Switzerland.
I could see it while on holiday in the UK and also today as I was on a short trip in Germany.
But it works perfect when I turn it on with ##@asr.

Share ride to message, doesn't allow me to add who to send it to on a HTC one M8. It won't leave the content field.

I don't know if this is version related or not. I have only done the gas price update thing a couple of times. Tuesday night I stopped at a gas station I had not been to in a very long period of time. Defintiely never since I installed waze. It said I was not awarded points because I had recently updated the prices for that station. There is just no way. (I checked my credit card report).
