Whilst we wait, interminably, for Waze to provide editor notes, this is a great step in the right direction.

UK-speak for construction. See here for details. It's a scheme we've been using successfully for over a year now. When edits are done to the map to account for construction, all the details are posted to a Roadworks sub-forum so that we can keep track of the what's going on and the details are available to all editors.qwaletee wrote:[ROADWORKS]? I'd feel quite proud if you did. I'm sure Twister-UK could filter [CONSTRUCTION] as well. Mind you, we have to put up with Freeways and Parking Lots, so turnabout is fair play.qwaletee wrote:Hmm, I wonder if we should do the same here in the US, and if so, should we just adopt the unfamiliar-to-us [ROADWORKS] tag, or ask for a US-specific one.

Nothing at all. These "special" notes are in no way special to Waze at all. I invented the UK Roadworks system and we started tagging all roadworks URs with [ROADWORK]. Twister-UK then did the fantastic job of giving them a different icon via URO.Taco909 wrote:I meant from the Waze side of things... is there anything to prevent an L1 on a "7 day rule" closing spree from closing them?
Try Livemap UR (LMUR) script, also by Twister-UK. That will show all URs on the livemap and will also cluster them to show a count - sounds ideal for what you're asking.tonestertm wrote:I wonder if it might be possible to create a marker/indicator of some sort which would show "hotspots", (large numbers of URs, tightly clustered) from a relatively high altitude, so they are quickly identifiable in areas where UR display is constrained at lower zooms. This would help greatly with finding trouble spots which have had a recent change, but might not be easily noticed for one reason or another. It would be really swell to be able to pan the map at zoom 0 and see issues like these which have popped up.
