Not quite believing that I'm defending Waze but . . .

They nuked the new MPs in response to our feedback, such as yesterday's rant. I've had some RL issues to deal with, so I haven't got round to updating that thread yet. Guess I'd better do that. :oops:

Just thinking out loud...

What if you pushed a "fake" UR into the data model with an invalid type, then intercept the click on it to just select the map comment?

Bug report

When a Map Comment contains URLS on consecutive lines (separated only by newline/CRs), the links as they appear in the URO pop-up for the map comment are concatenated into a single, large (and generally invalid!) link.

[EDIT] ... not just separated by a single newline. I thought I'd fix it by inserting a blank line between each link, but the same thing still happens.

I then tried putting a space character on each blank line. That fixed the first link - but now the second/third links aren't clickable at all.

Permalink for you to look at. Feel free to tidy up the whitespace experiments if you can fix the problem. ;)

I have a suggestion for an enhancement to URO+

Obviously it's a good idea to keep the Map Comments layer visible. But when you have to work in or around a map comment, the URO+ pop

The URO+ popup for map comments is very useful. But since map comments often contain a fair amount of text, the popup can also be quite large. When trying to work in or around a map comment area, this can make it very difficult to even select segments. Would it be possible to add a "hide for this session" link to the popup? I'm thinking probably just to hide the popup, not the map comment itself. Although maybe someone might have a user for actually hiding the comment itself?

What a shame. If only there was some way you could style a page element so it was obvious it was a control. You could put an outline or drop-shadow around it so it looks like a physical button. Or have it enlarge when your mouse pointer is over it. Or make it a different font styling from the text label. </sarcasm> :roll:

Ha! Came back to edit this post and realised I hadn't hit submit! The feed refresh will have some mouseover action in the next version of WMEFU - only took about 15 minutes. :mrgreen:

Probably the last update seems to have broken URO+ for me. All sorts of things aren't working - element popups, marker re-labelling, conversation counts. Also, when I first go to the URO+ tab, I can see the contents of all the sub-tabs as one extremely long tab. Once I click on a sub-tab header, they turn back into separate sub-tabs.

I have an error in the console "Uncaught ReferenceError: validated is not defined" triggering at line 1620 in the source. After that, there is still tons of debug info, so it doesn't look like the script has completely died.

Line 1620 looks like it's part of the Camera Watch List functionality. I should have 2 or 3 cameras on my list, but the OWL tab doesn't show any. My guess is that it's hitting a problem when trying to check one of the cameras on my list.

I was going to try clearing the list, but then it occurred to me that there might be some useful data there. So here are my exported settings. Let me know if you want anything else.

I cleared the line in local storage and refreshed. I immediately got a pop-up welcoming me to version 3.125 - which suggests it was a previous update that caused the problem. Sorry - it's too late to check what version I was stuck on. :(
[EDIT] Tell a lie - it's in the settings above. I was on 3.124 when the problem happened.

URO+ is now working fine: popups, UR marker changes. The URO+ tab is also working normally again.

Hi Twister.

After - literally - years of asking, Waze HQ have finally started adding Elgin links to MPs. An example is here.

Unfortunately, the links aren't clickable. I know just having them is a massive help, but I'm demanding! :lol:

Is there any chance you can make this link "live" - at least in the URO+ pop-up, if not in the MP dialogue box as well?

Another suggestion for you, given you are already overlaying markers like MPs and URs:

Would it be possible to highlight incorrectly set-up speed cameras? Speed cameras with no speed set or an invalid quantity (eg 31mph); red light cameras with a speed set >0 or a null speed set.

Note that having zero speed for RLCs is a UK rule; I'm not sure if other countries have such a rule.

Well that is what I was hoping for. ;)

I generally don't use any camera filters. Now the perpetual flood of unapproved cameras reported from the app has permanently ceased, I have them all showing so I can review any that take my fancy.
