How do I turn off the 'car stopped on shoulder' alert?

How do I turn off the 'car stopped on shoulder' alert?

The only notifications that I have turned on in settings (in the app) ----> display settings -----> show on map are...
Traffic Layer, Speed Cams, and Police

Thanks,

Android 4.4.2, Waze 3.8.1.0, Samsung Galaxy S III Mini

Wait...this is the way it is supposed to work???

So even when I have 'Hazards' unchecked in the Show On Map, I am still supposed to get this 'Hazard' notification?

Correct, there is no way to turn them off at this time unless you drive with Waze sounds muted. However the request has been submitted to the Waze development team. Waze Wishlist

So let me get this straight, you're willingly attempting to remove valid reports from the Waze map? I can see if a vehicle is clearly off the side of the road with no one in or around it but if the car is occupied and close to the shoulder, it is a valid report and should be thanked. You're method is pretty selfish if you ask me. Yes, these reports can be annoying but they are useful though too. Think of it like this, each one of these reports means another waze is ahead of you, one who could potentially report a hiding cop and save your butt from getting a ticket. Or it might even save your life or someone elses, it happens to everyone, we all get complacent in the car, especially after long drives, occasionally some may get distracted while driving, an alert like this could be lifesaving.

While it can be annoying, its also important to try to report them as "not there" when they really aren't. It helps clean up the notifications for others too. I've seen people post the car on shoulder alert for silly things like a merger construction sign. I always correct those as a construction zone. That's part of the awesomeness of waze, how we can update and correct things like that on-the-fly.
