Yes even with the new update this feature is still not available with no official word. See earlier in this thread:

Off topic from the OP but this is precisely how Waze works. Whenever you reach an intersection or junction, waze accumulates data for how long it takes to go through the junction. It will learn the time it took you to turn right, left or go straight. This data is compounded by thousands of drivers and is used to calculate routing.

This feature has now been added to Android & iOS, when reporting the hazard, simply type which lane the vehicle is in. (Left, Middle, Right) Lane.

Travel time accuracy improvement request. One of the hopes I had for waze over previous tools was better routing for time. Alas it appears waze does not account for time at lights and stop signs.

I would love to see it include the average or median times spent at lights. Preferably taken from gps data, but even user reporting would be better than what appears to be the base assumption of getting every green light, and no traffic.

For stop signs either derive it from system social reporting or other methods, but at least use a fixed minimum allowing time to decelerate, fully stop and accelerate. Probably on the order of 10 seconds. Meaningless for one stop sign, but it adds up with many.

Ultimately overall travel times as recorded by lots of users would be great, but that's an issue for another day, makes the above look simple in comparison. I think the above is doable, although not simple.

Option to report vehicle stopped ON ROAD

Postby theocanada » Sun Jun 08, 2014 1:44 am

Yes, it's a hazard when a vehicle is stopped on the side of the road. Know what's even more of a hazard? A vehicle stopped on the road. Please make this an option in the reporting.
