When was the UR for the S Bailey Rd from? We recently had a briefs period where those abbreviations weren't working, but it has been fixed now. Can you please also give us a permalink to the UR so we can check it.
Here's the permalink to the UR for S Bailey Rd: https://www.waze.com/editor/?env=usa&lo ... st=4566186
I tested that S Bailey junction and it is working properly, I responded to the UR for the reporter to clear TTS using cc@tts. That should fix it for him.

FYI weve started to tackle the pronunciation list anew, and you can see some items have been fixed, and others are now pending (in progress working on a fix). You'll be able to track the progress of issues in the wiki list live. As soon as a fix happens you should see it updated in the wiki list.

I'll add these two to the list.KB_Steveo wrote:the ñ is supposed to make a "y" sound after the "n". It's why Spanish speakers say "hall-uh-pain-yo" as opposed to the English mis-pronunciation of "hal-ah-pee-NO" for jalapeño.PesachZ wrote:Its a step better than before when it completely failed with the accent and inserted garbage in its place.
Can you tell us what it should sound like?
I have correction to add as well.
Shawano is pronounced how it looks (sha-wa-no). It's a local Indian name that should be pronounced "Shaw-no" (only one "a") https://www.waze.com/editor/?env=usa&lo ... s=82286310
*edit - changed "Spanish" pronunciation approximation

Cmn and Cmns are both not supported by Jane. However they are both on a list we are actively checking to determine if we should add support for them. We should have a decision shortly, once we finish testing and researching the list.unlimited1808 wrote:Cmns as an abbreviation for Commons is being pronounced as "C M N S" by Jane.

Has this abbreviation been deprecated since the update to Jane (and the original abbreviation wiki page) or is it being worked on for an update?

There are rules, and the dash is handled differently when it is between digits vs letters by the TTS engine.qwaletee wrote:"Exits 14-1:" says "Exits 14 to 1" - yes, I know this should say Exit, not Exits. Nearby Exit 14B-61 works correctly. It is possible that there are special rules for ^Exit \d+-d+: ... if so, I can make the fix, drop the s, and test, before proceeding.
What do you think would be the natural way to read exit 14-1?
