Hi
I just installed Waze because I see that Google picks up the info so i thought it must be pretty well used.

Went through the process and tried to sign in driving up my driveway, which was blocked because I was moving - ok i thought, good safety feature. Once stopped I decided to add in some construction works that weren't shown nearby. I am dumbfounded that i now have barrier construction works in my living room despite going to the road location where the works are - the app put the report at my house.

Let me get this straight - I can't login/setup whilst I am driving because "safety" but I can only report construction whilst driving past it at 70 miles an hour, risking causing another reportable thing (ie wreck, head first into the very new barrier i'm trying to report the building of) that someone else doing 70 miles an hour drives past and needs to report. Then I find i can't even delete my own reports to correct the fact that my neighbors are trying to see how I could possibly fit a 100ft crash barrier in my 50ft house.

Seriously?

Also waze uses your location for the reports, so if you report something later it will use your current position. You need to report something elsewhere on the live map. I haven't ever done as only recently discovered it.

If you're driving 70mph in a construction zone, you are already a danger and breaking the law.

Use the voice command input. To activate, wave your hand over device, or three finger touch (option set in voice command settings).

As for telling a Champ? I'll never remember. When I'm traveling it's usually because I need to be somewhere. I might remember after my meeting, but then I won't be at the closure any longer.

But! Because I'm here to complain about my streetless maps, here's a closure: http://www.bigislandvideonews.com/2016/ ... idge-work/
Hi, nauip!

One of my fellow State Managers, KuniaKid, set this closure. I'll doublecheck with DOT, but I think it's right:

Voice Commands
It doesn't work.
I've read on some official pages (help or wiki) that voice commands work only if language "incl street names" is selected. Somewhere on forum additional condition to be met has been posted: you have to drive in country for which this feature is supported. Don't know what is true but it doesn't work for me. I'm driving in Czech Republic and Poland. Doesn't matter the language I have selected (even English with street names), there is no voice commands available. There is even no option in config to enable it.
On the other side, searching street name by voice works.

You can only report closures by driving right up to them. You can only report construction by driving through it. I tried to report it earlier, but everyone seemed to miss my point.

The "best" way is to drop the pin to tag a point in time and place and finish your report when it's safe, but you can only save 1 point at a time. (the forums need a face-palm smiley)

We (the folks reporting) want to help, but apparently these "security" features are preventing it.
