Overview-level zoom for AMs

Post by alexs001
It would be a tremendous help if I could zoom out further. My area is largely rural, and even at minimum zoom I have dozens of screens worth of area to scan for URs and place updates, and some go unnoticed for a shamefully long time.

If I could zoom out to see my entire area and see nothing but my URs and place updates, I'd be set.

If it's not feasible for whatever reason, a list-based representation would be the next best thing... much like what toolbox can do, but covering a substantially larger area in one go.

There are a couple of scripts at least that can help with the UR issues. I know I like to use UR-MP Tracking which allows you to track and sort based off a number of criteria including days since last comment, type of UR, umber of comments and it can scan your area for you quite nicely.

However this doesnt address your Places issue. I know there have been a couple of scripts for place tracking but they dont currently allow you to search your own area, you might be able to reach out the editor and see if he/she willing to share some knowledge.

Hope this helps

I agree, but somehow I feel that would require more effort on Waze staff part to make it happen, which may not be a priority. They use to have a webpage that would allow you to track all the edits of a user, it appears to have been disabled, but I could see similar functionality for a region.

I use UR-MP for tracking over my area as I span 4 states and it will scan the area for me and generate a list with links.

Another option that may be less resource intensive would be to get an email alert for new URs and places within a defined area. Perhaps for busier areas a daily / weekly digest format may be more convenient.

As do I. I'd like to take on an extremely large rural area, but I simply do not have the ability to reliably respond to URs with the current limitations of WME.

I agree for at least 1 more zoom-out level. As the first post suggested.

For the rest, there are some new features planned for WME that will make it easier to handle/notice new URs as well as other things.
