WME User Scripts

Post by delilush
Hey everyone,

after the latest WME release we were notified that user scripts have been broken. This wasn't done intentionally, but as a result of server migration. We have been working with the developers to enable them back and they should be up and running again in the upcoming days.

Thank you!

This is great to know that WME developers are working on this and am looking forward to see the changes this week! A changelog will be greatly appreciated. :)

If possible, can you give us some idea what was originally changed and, therefore, what is going to be rolled back?

As usual, when a WME update breaks all the scripts, the script writers immediately scramble to fix/workaround the problems. It's been particularly hard this time, resulting in many hacks being posted to fix scripts and even one or two scripts designed to make other scripts work!

If we (the script writers) have a clearer idea of what changed/will change, it will make it easier to cope with the situation. :)

I also want to voice my appreciation for this consideration for the user scripts. It's this sort of cooperation that we've been looking for. :D My own script has been unaffected by the latest update because there have been no changes to how the basic WME UI is produced. But I'm well aware of the sick feeling in the pit of the stomach whenever we realise there has been a WME update and we have to start finding out what's failed. ;)

Thank you for recognizing the situation. Some of our tasks conventional in the map depend on of these scripts. Waiting for normalization. [emoji16]
