National wiki changes in the last month

Post by Inactive user -1697532064-
This is a collection of all the changes to the US wiki that affect national editing guidance in the last month. I plan to update this top post at the beginning of each month. Each change list will also be posted for history below.

List of recent changes to US Wazeopedia with page links, history and differences*

For more information on these changes and the reasons for making them, see the US Wiki Discussion forum.

I am stepping away from Waze editing. If you are interested in taking on these monthly reports, please let me know through a forum PM or Discord DM.

Summary of changes in September:
  • A new page on tolls was published, including routing effects, editing and price information.
  • Details were further specified on promotion requirements for certain ranks.
  • Information on city renaming by country managers, including resolution of naming conflicts, was added to the map editor interface page.
  • The rationale for the closed places procedure was clarified.
  • Improved guidance was given on the use of area and point places for various types of educational institutions.
  • Closure sheets are no longer used; this info was removed from the closures page.
* This is a filtered Wazeopedia tool that is set to show changes tagged manually in the past two months, so that all tagged changes from the previous month remain visible throughout the current month. Changes to state and regional pages, as well as minor changes to national pages that don't significantly affect the information given, are not shown. At the beginning of each month I will tag significant changes in the wiki, so that they are displayed in the recent changes page linked here.
