Feel free to add a [[Text to speech]] page to redirect the glossary entry. :)

If you need help let me know

Done. I was going to but wanted to ask first, then I forgot all together. LOL
I think we can also add a link from the TTS entry to Abbreviations, since most people looking for tts will be looking for information on how it behaves.

Can we add the Waze Symbols page to the Icon (disambiguation) page?
I switched the first entry. It used to link to a section of the client application page that covered rank icons. Instead, it now links to the Waze symbols page, which includes the same section. Made more sense this way, and covers the problem you found.

PZ and kent,

Short version: See https://wiki.waze.com/wiki/Editing_restrictions and some related articles.

Long version:

I did a little digging into where that DAB actually pointed. Here's what I found.

The DAB entry item was put in on 10 May 2103.

The target page was edited the same date, and can be found here: https://wiki.waze.com/wiki/index.php?ti ... d_segments

It contains the following

Locked segments
When an editor locks a segment, it currently has two functions, both controlling:
Automatic adjustments
Editing ability
In the past, many segments were locked for other reasons that no longer exist, but the segments do not get changed unless they are edited again and the editor removes the lock.

-----------------

I believe it was me who moved that text out many months ago when I first "rationalized" the description of locking. Rather than embed the whole discussion in a couple of other topics that touched on locking tangentially, I created separate pages with brief and complete descriptions of the restrictions (what it is - area and locks; how to work with them or around them; etc.). That is the Editing Restrictions page, and a couple of other related pages.

if you want to me to trace it down more, I certainly can ... but I don't think it is necessary, as there are one or two entire articles dedicated to the topic. Just redirect your "shortcuts" there or to its specific headings.

The restrictions page needs some substantial editing due to the final form of automatic locks, formerly called traffic locks. However, to make those changes, we first must find out whether the same implementation now exists in other countries, or whether some still use the original traffic lock system or another variation.

I'm sorry, but I am not sure if I follow the question in the long version. ;)
It wasn't a question. PZ was trying to hunt down where the link had pointed to, now that the referenced section name is gone. I just sleuthed it out and reported back.

I don't think we have wiki guidance on it, which is why you could not find it. This isn't an "improve searching issue."

I suggest starting a new wiki forum topic about adding content for it.
