Not quite full CM status. Still areas I cannot edit but trying to cover most. Came across many locked segments - last edited by ll - made a case - elevated to level 5 to try covering this but not with full status (w/o 5-mile radius). Finally got Topaz on the drop-down. Should be many more to follow soon.

Sorry I didn't get to respond to emails - going through a horrid bit of illness that's taking a long time to shake off. Will respond in course.

Yes, the cheating saga goes on! Received many private emails from fellow editors who cannot understand why some users acquire incredibly high points without showing anything worthwhile on the map. Seems some are associated with one another in one way or another. Even if they were to drive the length of the country daily they could not consistently acquire the high levels of points being attained. The consensus is that this activity turns legit editors off editing because they cannot see themselves ever getting anywhere. I must bide my time to ensure that what I will say when outing cheaters carries sufficient weight. I'm also relying on Waze themselves to carry out their inquiry into the matter. However the numbers using Waze are growing.

While I'm not as active as I would like to be, for obvious reasons relative to suspected cheating, I will continue in a limited way until the matter is resolved for the common good out there on the road. The national road infrastructure is beginning to take shape.

Hard to beat a good detective story!

Aha - have you got country manager rights now? If so, you might be the only active CM here that I'm aware of - assuming Leo Layden has faded out of the scene.

On another note: any news on the cheating situation? The snippets of the story you've let out make it seem like a fascinating tale of intrigue and mystery
