So long, but not farewell!
Greetings dear APAC Community,
It is with a heavy heart that I have to write this, because over the past 6 months that I’ve been supporting this amazing community, you’ve all grown to a special place in my heart.
However, when I was first introduced to you all, it was because our wonderful Tamar was departing for maternity leave.
Well, my friends, the fateful day has arrived to welcome Tamar back to Waze, which sadly means that I will no longer be your Community Specialist.
I greatly treasure the time we’ve spent together, and all the help and knowledge you’ve provided me. I am left gratified by how open you all were to accept and guide me, and I really credit each of you for my success so far at Waze.
But don’t worry! They can’t get rid of me that easily ;)!!!
I’ll be staying on as part of the Waze Communities Team, and will continue to work on all of the special projects like Office Hours, other virtual events, and Project Deep Thought - our new self-help ecosystem.
I’ll be working hand in hand with Tamar as we transfer back all of the APAC community management responsibilities, and will be happy to continue to help to ensure a smooth transition.
I also would love to continue to hear from you all, as I’ve greatly enjoyed our interactions and consider many of you now friends. My door will always be open to hear from you, so please don’t hesitate to reach out over email, Discord, or Telegram, and if you really miss me there are plenty of special projects I’d love your support with.
So my friends, this is so long for my direct involvement in APAC, but most definitely NOT farewell.
All the best,
Brett
