Coventry Map update request for potentially confusing lane guidance

Post by Inactive user -1699517591-
Hi Editors,

I'll appreciate your help with a map update. When approaching the roundabout Waze will indicate to stick to the right 2 hand lanes as there is a slip road to the left that takes you towards Scimitar Way(so away from the roundabout). However, for the non-local this can be misleading as if you are taking Exit 2-5 you need to stick to the very right hand lane to pass the first exit. Since there is no lane guidance for actually navigating the roundabout at the moment maybe it's worth only showing the lane guidance for Wazers taking the slip road towards Scimitar Way.

Thanks for responding! I agree with you that it's the driver's responsibility to get into the correct lane in time. I was just basing my suggestion off my real life experience at this junction of drivers incorrectly starting in the middle lane when passing the first exit. Of course, you can't know how many of them were making their decision based of the Waze lane guidance. I was just warry of Waze reaffirming this incorrect lane usage for high percentage of drivers that don't simply look at the road sign(shown below).

There's only so much Waze can be responsible for and at some point drivers have to use the big glass viewing port at the front of their vehicle. The currently mapped lane guidance matches the slip road lanes and the roundabout is big enough to maneuver into the correct lane while on it to take any of the exits.

I've removed the view only setting for the middle and right lanes, which kinda defeats the point of have lane guidance mapped at all.
