UR requesting that we consider the naming of "Broadway" to match the road signs only saying MA-99, I think particularly at the junction with US-1 (permalink above).
What is the consensus on this? "Route 99" is referred to locally as "Broadway" for it's entirety no matter the city it's passing through, however the road is referred to as just "MA-99" on road signs. The idea of the UR is that locals understand MA-99 = Broadway, but outsiders may not. I don't think that the entire length of the road should change the primary name to MA-99, however what about the segment that connects to US-1 south (permalink above)? Should we add a small ramp segment between US-1 S and Broadway named "to MA-99 S / Malden / Everett"
thoughts?
