Numeric coordinate entry

Post by alexs001
I was thinking that it would be helpful to be able to manually enter coordinates when editing. This would be particularly helpful when editing adjacent objects such as a park and lake, or when working around borders that are defined by specific lines of latitude or longitude.

Thoughts?

Did you try this before posting? It works just fine to search by coords for me.

Or are you meaning to define a landmark object by coordinates? Personally, I think that'd be waaay slower than drawing by hand.

We're talking about a navigation app for which landmarks are merely a shaded area in the app. I really don't see the need to have landmarks for a park or forest placed to the .000 of precision accuracy. To me, it really doesn't make sense. Perhaps you'll find others who think otherwise, but I doubt it. There are significantly more important things, like entire missing neighborhoods.

I mean the latter. It may be slower, and would obviously be an alternate means of entry, but it would enable precision that is not currently possible.

All fair points. I spend too much time in illustrator.
