Golden Gophers Football and Home Coming. 46,000+ fans ! Early Fall day with plenty of Sunshine finally! The Stadium is on the campus of the University of Minnesota. Easy to head to the University Campus in St. Paul and park your vehicle, taking the shuttle bus to the West Campus from East Campus. Parking lot is also serves fans of the Minnesota State Fair or other events at the Fairgrounds.
The Stadium is open on the West side to 4th Street. Depending on the score one can watch the street instead of the game! 87 counties in Minnesota. All are represented with their names on the outside walls of the Stadium.
Celebration of the kids and alumni to the history of Gophers to watching the Mascot called Goldy to the marching bands or the huge American Flag. A troop of students marched in.. spread out the Flag. We Sang, standing with our hats off and placing our right hands over the heart! Then after wards the Troop rolled up the American Flag and walked it back to the Tunnel to storage.
