I went in last night at about 6:45pm with head trauma both front and back of head, was leaking blood. I was seen by triage and I told them everything and mentioned my knee was a little sore.
What did they do? They took pictures of my knee, completely neglected the actual real injury I had. ( The whole time still bleeding from my head.)
I went back into the lobby to wait for a room, well four hours later I went up to the nurse's desk asked what the situation was, and could I talk to a nurse or doctor about some aspirin. They then told me that they wouldn't give me anything which would be about 6-8 hours from then. I told them I have a job in the morning and could we take measures to show attention to a patient with head trauma.
They looked at me all weird said there was nothing they could do and if I didn't want to wait then that's not their issue.
Never have I been treated that way. I left I'm probably still concussed but after the lack of professionalism I think it'll be better for me to take care of my own injuries.
